ASL Shared Living Provider

NCSS is seeking a motivated and energetic home care provider with knowledge in ASL or Deaf culture located in Northwestern, Vermont to provide care for a congenial young woman who loves to spend time on her tablet, participate in community activities, and engage in social time with those around her. She enjoys movies, art, cooking and crafts. Children and pets are welcome with the right match. Living arrangements could be in your home, in a shared rental, or in the client’s home. The home care provider is responsible for providing personal care and assistance in activities of daily living in a family home environment. This position offers a generous stipend, provides additional out of home support, outstanding team to collaborate with and additional trainings.

Candidates must:

  • Be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Have experience with and be comfortable providing personal care and communication support
  • Promote independence and provide a caring living space
  • Be 21+ years of age and possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Pass background check
