Eligibility for Services

The DS division serves individuals of Franklin & Grand Isle counties, who have a Developmental Disability and/or Intellectual Disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Our services are primarily for adults; however we do serve children and families currently outside of the Medicaid waiver. Unlike the school system, funding for our services is not an entitlement; This means that funding is applied for a reviewed on an individual basis.

Most services are funded through the Vermont Medicaid Waiver Program as administered through the Department of Aging & Independent Living (DAIL).

To be served in Developmental Services, I.Q. must be below 70.
