Residential Support Staff (Day Shifts)*

The Community Support and Rehabilitation Team (CRT) at NCSS is seeking a caring and flexible individual who can be sensitive to the changing needs of the population served in our supportive residential program. Core tasks include providing care to adults with severe mental illness in a way that respects each resident’s dignity and abilities and creating a safe and supportive environment for all individuals that reside in the home. 

We are currently hiring for the following shifts:

  • Daytime 6 am to 6 pm Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Every other Saturday

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with each resident’s treatment team, other agencies, and community resources
  • Support residents in strengthening independent living skills
  • Provide support around activities of daily living
  • Assist in problem solving needs, behavioral interventions, and providing strength based education with the goal of recovery
  • Facilitating daily groups and house activities
  • Medication administration
  • Cooking and light house cleaning
  • Clinical documentation
  • A valid driver’s license in good standing and the ability to transport clients in your vehicle

Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Being a strong team player with good communication skills
  • Self-motivated, task oriented, compassionate, and organized qualities
  • A strong understanding of client centered treatment
  • Knowledge of mental illness
