Interactive Community Advocate - Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services

Northwestern Counseling & Support Services is hiring an Interactive Community Advocate to join the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Team. We are seeking energetic candidates to provide support for individuals with emotional and behavioral issues. NCSS will provide all necessary training so that you can provide a safe environment for all clients served. Work will take place in Franklin and/or Lamoille County in client's homes and within their communities. 

Ideal candidates:

  • Have a positive attitude; supportive presence; willingness to engage individuals with therapeutic interventions; and the ability to provide a highly structured, consistent, predictable, and therapeutic environment
  • Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) or a willingness to learn (ASL classes would be offered at no cost to you!)
  • Must have reliable transportation and clear background checks
