Early Childhood Systems Specialist

Early Childhood Systems Specialist

Are you interested in making Vermont a better place for all children and families? Do you believe that the best way to tackle complex social issues is to bring together a diverse group of partners to work toward a common goal? Northwestern Counseling and Support Services (NCSS) and Building Bright Futures (BBF) are seeking an Early Childhood Systems Specialist to support the work of the Parent Child Center and Franklin & Grand Isle Regional early childhood council. This is a great opportunity to support  a local organization in its collaborative efforts to improve outcomes for young children and families, and at the same time be part of a public-private partnership with statewide impact on Vermont’s early childhood system.

BBF regional councils bring together a diverse group of community members who are committed to children and families to identify gaps, share best practices, strategize, and support response to community issues through their regional action plans. The Early Childhood Systems Specialist is responsible for regional council operations and coordinating implementation of the action plan, as well as supporting the work of the Parent Child Center as it relates to the 8 core services (home visiting, early childhood services, parent education, parent support, playgroup, information and referral, community development, concrete supports), and serving as a liaison between the region and BBF’s statewide network.

This position includes some regional and statewide travel, opportunities for professional development, and support from a committed team at both NCSS and BBF.  Benefits include medical/dental, retirement savings, tuition reimbursement, 15 days personal account time in the first year, and 11 paid holidays.
