NCSS is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Facilities Technician. This position is part of a growing team that’s responsible for repair and maintenance of over a dozen agency locations throughout Franklin County. Core duties include assisting with the management of our electronic work order system, conducting general repairs, executing various inspections, ensuring functionality of agency equipment and infrastructure, performing periodic construction projects, identifying capital needs for future planning, coordinating and overseeing contractors and various vendors on identified project. Candidate will be required to work within an electronic work order system and must be comfortable with learning new technology systems and navigating basic office programs.

The successful candidate MUST be self-directed, work well independently, have effective communications skills, possess a strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing issues and be able to proactively handle various aspects of building maintenance. Ideal candidate would possess prior experience with project management, building automation systems, ADA and V/OSHA compliance. Valid driver’s license is a required. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position preferred, background or training in a trade or technical program a plus. This is a full time 40 hours per week position with rotating on-call responsibility.
