CAT Program Behavior Consultant

The Collaborative Achievement Team (CAT) of Northwestern Counseling & Support Services is seeking a Behavior Consultant to join their team.

The Behavior Consultant responsibilities include:

  • Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and taking findings to create behavior intervention plans for CAT Behavioral Interventionist staff and/or paraeducators working 1:1 in the public school setting
  • Creation, facilitation and implementation of therapeutic, educational and behavioral intervention plans for students within their schools and communities
  • Actively making recommendations to providers for programming along with training, guiding and supporting educational and behavioral staff, families, home and community-based support providers in a variety of settings
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with community partners (school staff, outside providers, etc.) characterized by trust and an open line of communication.

Candidates must have a Master's Degree in Human Services or related field and/or be actively enrolled in an ABA program. This is an excellent opportunity for advanced training in Applied Behavior Analysis – including opportunities for BCBA supervision. Experience working with children implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services is a must, preferably experience working with children with Emotional/Behavioral Disturbances.
