Behavior Consultant – Collaborative Achievement Team

Behavior Consultant – Collaborative Achievement Team

The Collaborative Achievement Team (CAT) of Northwestern Counseling & Support Services is seeking a Behavior Consultant to join their team! The Behavior Consultant role includes responsibilities such as conducting assessments, creation of behavioral intervention plans for students, data summarization and interpretation, facilitating monthly meetings with school staff and/or families, and ongoing staff support. This position requires actively making recommendations to providers for programming along with training, guiding, and supporting behavior interventionists (BI's), families, home, and community-based support providers in a variety of settings. The ability to establish and maintain relationships with community partners (school staff, outside providers, families, etc.) is critical.

The appropriate candidate will be able to conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and create behavior intervention plans for CAT Behavioral Interventionist staff and/or paraeducators working 1:1 in the public-school setting to implement. Experience working with children implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services is a must, preferably experience with children with Emotional/Behavioral Disturbances.

It is necessary that CAT Behavior Consultants have strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills. Behavior Consultants do not have supervisory oversight of BI’s. This position is responsible for creating behavioral plans, analyzing data and assessing outcomes to assure quality and effectiveness of programming. Behavior Consultants are required to hold frequent meetings with their BIs to discuss programming, client behavior, and create modifications to the plan when necessary.

This is an excellent opportunity for advanced training in Applied Behavior Analysis – including opportunities for BCBA supervision. Candidates must have a master’s degree in Human Services or related field and/or be actively enrolled in an ABA Master's program.

If you are looking for a great working environment, high quality benefits including tuition reimbursement, schedule flexibility, and a competitive salary, this job might be for you! Interested? Apply on our website or send your resume to careers@ncssinc.org.
