Samantha joined Northwestern Counseling & Support Services in January 2001 as a School-Based Case Manager, working one-on-one with a 3rd grader. Throughout her career, she has maintained a strong focus on understanding the impact of trauma and its effects on individuals. She stepped into her current role as Director in August 2020. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Vermont, a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Saint Michael’s College and became a Licensed Psychologist Master in 2014.
With a lifelong passion for supporting people through challenging times, Samantha is dedicated to being a safe and steady presence for others. She believes in the power of community and strives to help individuals navigate adversity with strength and hope. She is especially committed to ensuring that all people are welcomed, valued, and supported by members of the community, and that intellectual and developmental disabilities never limit access to belonging and support.
Her leadership style emphasizes professional development, innovation, and collaboration. She values clear and kind communication, mutual respect, and perspective-taking, encouraging her teams to grow while working together toward creative solutions.
Outside of work, Samantha enjoys time with her family. She is a proud hockey mom, recently earned her boating license, and loves reading, puzzles, and singing.
