Angela Poirier is the Chief Loan Specialist and Senior Vice President at Peoples Trust Company, where she leads the bank’s lending strategies to drive business development and sales. With over 25 years of experience in financial services, Angela has worked across all areas of retail deposits, retail lending – including residential, consumer, and commercial loans, operations, branch management, and risk management. She holds the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers, underscoring her commitment to regulatory excellence.
Her professional affiliations include serving on various Committees of the Vermont Bankers Association, New England Bankers Education Board, New England Trust Insurance Board, member of Independent Community Bankers Association, member of American Bankers Association, and a previous member of Business Networking International (BNI). From 2000 to 2004, she served as Board Member and Treasurer for the Franklin County United Way.
Since 2014, Angela has been an integral part of Northwest Counseling Support Services, serving as both a Board and Executive Committee member, and currently as Board President. In this role, she uses her financial expertise to support the mission of this vital community-based mental health organization.
Angela is a lifelong resident of Franklin County, Vermont, where she lives in Swanton with her husband, Lyle, and their daughter, Madysen. A graduate of Enosburg Falls High School and Champlain College; she holds a degree in Business Management. In addition to her professional commitments, Angela is dedicated to giving back to her community and currently serves on multiple local boards and community programs.
