Matt joined Northwestern Counseling & Support Services in 2001 as a middle school teacher at Soar and became Director of ECSBS in April 2024, after serving as Interim Director. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from SUNY Fredonia, a Master of Arts in Education with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis and Child Mental Health from Johnson State College and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Drawn to working with children from an early age, Matt has dedicated his career to supporting kids and families facing challenges, and to building systems that empower staff and strengthen care. Over his 24 years with NCSS, he has found deep purpose in the agency’s mission and in the vital role the Parent Child Center and School-Based Services play in the community.
His leadership is grounded in trust, empowerment, and collaboration, ensuring that decisions are always guided by what is best for children and families. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, fishing, and playing disc golf.
