ALBANS \u2014 Voters approved funding for a second mental health crisis worker in the St. Albans Police Department Tuesday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>James Hughes, the Franklin County state\u2019s attorney, also voted at City Hall and said he supported hiring a second mental health clinician for the police department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agency currently works with Sam Weber, a Northwestern Counseling and Support Services clinician. Her position is funded through that organization, not the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>St. Albans officials and residents who advise the city\u2019s police department say Weber\u2019s position&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/vtdigger.org\/2022\/02\/18\/st-albans-voters-asked-to-fund-2nd-police-crisis-worker\/\"><strong>has been a success<\/strong><\/a>, and now they want another person to take on the work.
