Initially designed to support students with autism spectrum disorder, services now reach a wide range of students with varying diagnoses and individual needs, helping them to access their education and make progress on their individual goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this, NCSS is excited to announce a change in the program name from the &#8220;School Based Autism Program&#8221; to &#8220;School Based Adaptive Program&#8221;, to better represent the range of services that the team provides. Shawna Shappy and Megan Gargano discuss the various services that the NCSS School Based Adaptive Program provides individuals diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder while also reaching a wide range of students with varying diagnoses and individual needs, helping them to access their education and make progress on their individual goals.
