Truancy Specialist

Come work in one of the most beautiful settings in the country and make a real difference in the lives of children! The Truancy Specialist works with identified K-8th grade students, their families, schools, and broader system of care, to improve the students’ attendance at school.

Responsibilities:

  • Regular contact with students, guardians, school staff and other providers to ensure consistent, accurate communication and effective problem solving. 
  • Attend Truancy Implementation Panel meetings
  • Actively promote school attendance awareness among families, school staff and the broader community through newsletters, webpage and other means of outreach.  
  • Understanding of the effects of mental health, family systems and social factors impacting truancy. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field is required. 
  • Experience with restorative justice is a plus!

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field is required. Experience with restorative justice is a plus!
