Soar Learning Center is hiring a Special Education Teacher! At Soar Learning Center you will have the opportunity to make a deep and long-lasting impact on the lives of our extraordinary students. You will use your expertise by developing curriculum, implementing Individual Education Plans, assessing each child’s evolving needs, and reporting on the successes of each student.

Essential Functions:

  • Adapting class work to provide students with materials that address individual learning plans
  • Administering developmental testing and subject specific tests
  • Communicating about student progress to parents and/or legal guardians
  • Assessing student’s progress toward objectives, expectations, and/or goals
  • Collaborating with staff and parents to improve the quality of student outcomes
  • Preparing data for the purpose of documenting student progress

Necessary Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Special Educator licensure – applicants eligible for a provisional license should apply!

Soar Learning Center is approved by Vermont’s Agency of Education as an independent school and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) as a day treatment program.
