Do you have a passion for educating the youth of today the science of the natural world? Are you able to scaffold complex subject matter to students of varying social and educational backgrounds? If you’ve answered “yes” to these questions – you are an ideal candidate for this position!

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating detailed and meaningful lesson plans
  • Adhering to district guidelines for curriculum organization and pacing
  • Managing classroom activities
  • Interpreting student testing data and developing individual learning goals
  • Overseeing science lab procedures and safety guidelines
  • Communicating with peers and administration around student needs and curriculum
  • Communicating learning goals and expectations to students and parents

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, education, communications, or a related field
  • Student teacher experience
  • Current teacher certificate
