Residential Support Staff - Daytime Shift

Northwestern Counseling & Support Services is seeking a self-motivated and energetic individual to join our supportive residential team. Our Supported Independent Living Program hosts individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. The current open position is Wednesday-Friday and every other Saturday from 6:00am-6:00pm. Weekend availability is a must!

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing a therapeutic and stable environment in community and residential settings
  • Implementing person-centered & strength-based interventions
  • Transporting clients
  • Preparing and cooking meals
  • Medication administration

Ideal applicants have:

  • Experience in residential programming or working with individuals with mental illness
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • A genuine and compassionate personality

Candidates must:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services (or a related field) or be working towards  a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to transport clients in personal vehicle
