Residential Support Staff

The Community Support and Rehabilitation Team (CRT) is seeking a caring and flexible individual who can be sensitive to the changing needs of the population served in this Therapeutic Community Residence. Residential Support Staff provide care to adults with severe mental illness in a way that respects each resident’s dignity and abilities while creating a safe and supportive environment for all individuals that reside in the home.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Working collaboratively with each resident’s treatment team, other agencies, and community partners/resources
  • Supporting residents in strengthening their independent living skills
  • Providing support around activities of daily living
  • Assisting with problem solving needs, behavioral interventions, and providing strength based education with the goal of recovery
  • Facilitating daily groups and house activities
  • Cooking and light house cleaning

Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field is preferred, however, an Associate’s Degree with relevant experience will be considered.

Strong team player with good communication skills who is self-motivated, task oriented, compassionate, and organized. Knowledge of mental illness with a strong understanding of client centered treatment is preferred. Minimum computer skills required.
