Interactive Community Advocate

This position is eligible for a $500.00 bonus to be paid out after the completion of your introductory (6 month) period!

Are you looking for a career change? Do you want to make a difference in the life of an individual? NCSS Developmental Services is seeking energetic candidates to provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their community.

What will you do?

• Provide person-centered support and services
• Advocate for, encourage, guide, and teach people to express personal choice
• Facilitate personal and/or medical care
• Develop individualized daily living skills and habits
• Increase participation in community and home-based activities
• Ensure health and safety for all individuals served

Supports and services provided are tailored to meet the needs based on the specific abilities of the individuals being served.

What are we looking for?

• A candidate with a positive, flexible, and strengths-based attitude
• Someone who enjoys working collaboratively in a team setting
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required
