Financial Accountant

JOIN OUR FINANCE TEAM! NCSS, located in St. Albans, VT, is seeking a Financial Accountant to support the Controller in generating monthly financials, supporting the annual audit, cash management, and grant and contract oversight to four primary agency divisions, as well as external entities including the State of Vermont, the Federal Government, and other granting entities.

Candidates must have:

• Experience with GL/AR/AP and budgeting software.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Excel-based data manipulation, lookup tables.
• Experience with federal, state, and private/foundation grants, as well as Medicaid. Experience with other healthcare payment models a plus!

The Finance Team is a collaborative and talented team of 6-7 individuals overseeing revenue and expenses for a vibrant and growing $45M entity with strong community partnerships and collaborations. This position will report to the Controller, with additional support provided as a member of an integrated and cross-trained team.

Qualified applicants will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with 2-3 years of direct accounting experience, preferably in a financial role in the field of Human Services. Recent graduates may be considered.
