Soar Learning Center, an independent school serving students with a variety of needs, is seeking an Educational Team Leader to direct academic and special education services for students ages K- 12. The successful candidate will possess the ability to identify and execute a vision for learning, school culture, and community involvement, as well as demonstrate a strong knowledge of Vermont state standards, curriculum, assessment, differentiated instruction, and responsive classroom practices. Candidates must be committed to working collaboratively with families and community providers to meet the needs of all students as well as possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Educational Team Leaders provide skilled leadership, evaluation, and support of teaching and special education staff through participation and oversight in and out of the classroom. They also identify professional development needs and facilitate appropriate training, while ensuring high quality delivery of academic and special education services. Candidates will:
A Bachelor’s degree with a strong combination of education, experience, and endorsements will also be considered. This is a salaried position with excellent benefits. The work schedule is typically M-F, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Some occasional evening and/or weekend hours may be required.
