  • Overall coordination of agency-wide wellness initiatives; provide employee communications, develop, implement and monitor program offerings and participate as a member of the Wellness Committee, seeking guidance and support as needed.
  • Perform general HR Department administration, including routine correspondence and a variety of liaison activities with other departments and functions. Organize and maintains general department files and records and respond to internal and external HR related inquires or requests, redirecting to the appropriate person.
  • Has primary ownership of the welcoming and onboarding process for newly hired staff by delivering New Employee Orientation training on a bi-weekly schedule and coordinating a monthly program.  Involvement includes, but is not limited to; completing standard employment forms, explaining applicable agency policies and procedures; employee benefits and complete enrollment; timecard instructions; sending reminders, meal coordination and set up/take down.
  • Represents Human Resources in the oversight and maintenance of Agency intranet, working collaboratively with the point person in other departments.
  • Create and publish an HR Department quarterly newsletter, including design, layout, writing and editing; gather information from a variety of sources.
  • Lead all aspects of the Agency’s annual United Way employee campaign.
  • Primary operator of MyLearning Pointe training system responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of the system. Regularly sends training reminders and compliance reports.
  • Coordinate logistics of business travel for staff, which may include conference registrations and booking travel arrangements. Process, maintain and track all staff records of training, education and development in the HR systems.
  • Primary contact for scheduling, coordinating and in some instances delivering a variety of employee trainings, activities and events, ensuring a smooth and effective affair.
  • Maintain agency’s organizational charts, updating regularly working closely with recruiter to ensure job descriptions, and positions correspond and are up to date.
  • Operate and maintain Agency’s emergency communication system, Blackboard to ensure accurate data and testing.
  • Support the recruitment and hiring process by performing comprehensive background and reference check functions and credential verifications, including submission, tracking, analysis, and follow-up.
  • Set up and maintain personnel records on present and past employees, including timely updates and maintenance of personnel files, ADP database, Blackboard, LWSI, and other Agency systems.
  • Explain procedures and policies relative to a variety of personnel-related inquires, referring to supervisors as applicable.
  • Produce a variety of reports through various systems including HRIS, Excel and My Learning Pointe, as requested.
  • Build strong relationships with staff and management to provide overall support; works closely with other HR department positions.
  • Coordination of special events and projects as requested.
  • Provides back up support and assistance to HR department positions including, but not limited to;
    • Supports recruiting function by engaging in direct recruitment through attendance at events such as college career fairs and local job fairs; process and track applicant resumes; placing employment advertisements as needed.

    • Assist with the enrollment process and ongoing maintenance of employee benefits, provide routine and specialized employee benefits information, and respond to inquiries from staff.

Administration
Prior experience working in a human resources setting is required. Must be technologically savvy and comfortable speaking in groups.
Minimum of Associates Degree required.
