The Autism Behavioral Consultant's responsibilities include assessment, creation, facilitation and the implementation of therapeutic, educational and behavioral interventions for students with various diagnoses (primary diagnosis include Autism Spectrum, Intellectual Disability, Genetic Disorders and Developmental Delay Categories) primarily within their public school and community.  This position requires actively making recommendations to providers for programming along with training, guiding and supporting educational and behavioral staff, families, home and community based support providers in a variety of settings.  The appropriate candidate will be able to implement functional behavior assessments and take these findings to create behavioral intervention plans for NCSS Behavioral Interventionist staff and/or paraeducators working in various local public schools.  Candidates must be a team player and understand the complexities of the diverse teams we serve; as this team operates on a family centered and teaming approach.    Experience working with children needing ABA services a must, specifically experience with children on the Autism Spectrum.  Knowledge including implementation/creation of discrete trials, task analysis and behavioral assessments preferred.

BCBA and/or BCaBA preferred; however applicable candidates will be actively involved or have completed a Master's Degree program in ABA that's goal is to obtain a BCBA/BCaBA.
Master's level preferred and/or actively pursuing one within an ABA program. BCBA certified preferred, however will accept candidates who are able to sit for the BCBA exam after current course work is completed. BCaBA candidates are encouraged to apply as well.
